With all of the different foods and substances out there that can tinge teeth, you might find that your pearly whites aren’t as bright as they once were. Awesome news: wanting a whiter smile is more rampant than you might think, and there are some different routes you can pursue if a brighter smile is your mission.
– Professional procedures. Chairside bleaching, also known as in-office bleaching, can be over in as quickly as one visit to our office. During this service, Dr. Ryan Simarro will apply a protective coating gel to your gums before applying bleach to brighten your chompers.
– Toothpaste with whitening features. Each toothpaste contains abrasives that help your chompers look whiter by eliminating plaque, but there are some special toothpastes that contain chemicals for removing stains from your teeth. Be cautious, though, because not all toothpastes are created equally. As always, you can be assured in the toothpaste you purchase if it shows an ADA seal of approval.
– At-home products. There is a plethora of products on the market that bleach pearly whites. Numerous come in the form of whitening gel trays or strips. These generally contain less-concentrated bleach than what our dentist uses in the office, so you’ll probably have to use them for at least a week before you sense any outcomes. Feel free to ask us more about this type of whitening solution if you have additional inquiries.
